Snow being such a relatively rare event in Seattle, and because, as E.B. White once put it, we take the weather "very seriously" around here, I decided to take a few pictures. The dark blurry spots, by the way, are snowflakes, not a dirty lens.
First Avenue, looking toward downtown. If you strain, you can almost see as far as Cedar street.
Our building's courtyard. I have never seen anybody in here--the rooftop is much nicer--and yet here are footprints to prove that people do go there occasionally. Of course, the rooftop isn't so nice when it's cold and snowing.
The entire earth, here represented by the PI Globe, covered in snow. I actually went up on the roof to take this one, thereby proving my courtyard theory.
The best part of a snowy day--just watching it come down.
