Robert Redford slips even further into paranoid dementia

The intro to the latest Sundance catalog. Hasn’t anyone around him noticed that he’s losing his mind?

There is so much noise. And it’s not white noise. It’s manic and multi tonal—multi layered. Sometimes my ears ring. My jaw aches. My shoulders hunch. My eyes wince. Where is the quiet, the calm, the space?

So what can the catalog offer you at this time? Quiet. Because there’s no noise in just looking at pages. And color, because the world around us seems so dark and grey.

Creeping senility

Robert Redford’s introduction to the latest Sundance catalog:

I love the mountains. They sit in a huge silence, interrupted by the occasional echoing crash of Spring avalanches, But their silence is divine. A powerful quiet that brings in autumn and grows in winter as snow falls, broken only by the “tintinnabulation… from the bells.” The holiday bells. Then silence again. As the mountains again claim their poise. Ahh…….

It’s the weird semi-quote from Poe that convinces me he’s losing it (not to mention that “Ahh……”). Or has he always been this much of a nut?
