Early ’65 by the looks of it, when they were still primarily an R&B band. Even the Live at Kelvin Hall album didn’t capture them when they were this hot. Too much of this is focused on the audience, but then it’s a pretty amazing audience. Just watch Ray flirt with the crowd on “Got Love If You Want It”.
